Artúr Lakner was born more than 130 years ago, and his name was once a household name, but today almost no one knows his name. In his children's theater, which operated for 20 years, he raised great actors from children such as Éva Ruttkai, Hédi Zsolnai, Erzsi Galambos, and Endre Harkányi. Uncle Lakner's last children's performance was tragic: Artúr Lakner was deported as a Jew. Before being crammed into a wagon bound for Auschwitz, he organized a children's performance for the anxious children by the tracks. Uncle Lakner did not return from Auschwitz.
