Iris London-Zolty: Songs from Israel – Stories from the heart

Play Details

Israeli singer-songwriter Iris London-Zolty comes to Budapest from near Tel Aviv, bringing with her songs and personal stories that offer an intimate glimpse into Israel.

Iris has followed a remarkable path. A lawyer and public-sector professional, she currently serves as Chief of Staff to the President of Tel Aviv University, while for the past fifteen years she has also pursued her passion as a singer-songwriter. She has released four albums and performs regularly throughout Israel.

Her music brings together personal stories, family, memory and hope. Rooted in Israeli folk and contemporary singer-songwriter traditions, her concerts feature both her own compositions and beloved Israeli classics.

With just her guitar, Iris sings in Hebrew and speaks to the audience in English between songs, sharing the stories behind the music, moments from her own life and the experiences that inspired her songwriting.

Her most recent song, LeSameach Adam Acher – “To Bring Joy to Another Person” – was inspired by a letter left by Shahar Friedman, who was killed on October 7.

An intimate evening from Israel – about music and people, loss and belonging, and the hope that endures even in the most difficult of times.
