For the fifth time, the free street music concert series returns to the Jewish Quarter. Between May 28 and June 25, Jewish music will fill Dob Street every Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, opposite the Spinoza, at the Carl Lutz Memorial.
The concert series features some of Hungary’s finest artists, and this year, for the first time, an international ensemble will also join the lineup. The event is a gift from the Spinoza Theatre and Café to local residents, tourists visiting the Jewish Quarter, and everyone passing by.
The 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗞𝗹𝗲𝘇𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱 was founded in 2016 and is made up of experienced and acclaimed musicians. The group blends traditional klezmer melodies with elements of world music and folk traditions, giving klezmer music a fresh and modern sound while preserving its authentic Eastern European Jewish roots.
