A Latabárné fia

Play Details

The other side of Kálmán Latabár. Little is known about the fact that the dancer-comedian was ordered off the stage in 1944, his role was given to someone else, because his mother was Jewish. It is touching how much devotion and warmth Kálmán cared for his bedridden mother for decades. After the war, even under the Rákosi regime, Kálmán Latabár did not receive the challenges he deserved. We learn many new things about the dancer-comedian from Zsolt Győrei's drama, which is spiced with warmth and humor throughout.
